Our first drone took flight in late 2012, since then it’s hard to watch any television programme that doesn’t feature drone shots. From the BBCs Ambulance to Channel 4s Grand Designs production companies use drones on an almost daily basis.
We have been trusted to provide aerials for OSCAR and BAFTA winners, large brands, commercial properties and more.
With hundreds of flight hours under our belts, our drone team capture stunning aerial shots safely and efficiently over and over again.
Since our first ‘gas guzzling’ drone the technology has moved on massively. At first you had to build, program and test your rigs to find the perfect balance of performance, weight and flight duration before you could even think about the camera. Thankfully things are a lot easier now.
Our Technology.
The Drone.
Our current workhorse is the DJI Inspire 2.
With a flight duration of around 20 minutes and a top speed of around 50mph this platform enables us to fly any kind of job whether its slow moving GVs or chasing a boat across the water at full speed.
Our drone system is designed to be used with both a camera operator and pilot. This ensures a level of creativity not possible with a single operator setup and ensures the very best shots can be captured both safely and efficiently.
The Camera.
The DJI X7 is a purpose built camera system for the Inspire 2. With a maximum resolution of 6K this camera is easily the best drone specific camera available.
With both cineDNG and PROres licences we can capture footage to match your camera specs with ease.
A choice of 16,24,35 and 50mm lenses ensure we can get the cinematic shot you need. It can also come in handy if you need cityscapes by enabling us to keep our distances whilst working a longer lens to achieve the shot
